Spring man, River Oaks woman, Tomball hunt club blamed for torn bicep

A Harris County man is suing residents of River Oaks and Spring after, he says, unsafe conditions at a local hunt club resulted in a torn bicep muscle.

Donald Holley filed a lawsuit Aug. 8 in the Harris County District Court against Longacre Hunt Club, with an office in Tomball, Spring resident James Mark Ivey and Samantha Judge, of River Oaks, citing negligence and negligence per se.

Holley says on March 3, he sustained serious injuries while attending an equestrian event at the Longacre Hunt Club. The suit alleges he tore his bicep muscle when helping Judge, as she fell from an unbridled and unsaddled horse. The accident happened after Holley warned Judge of the potential dangers of mounting the horse, according to the brief.

Holley is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorneys Vuk Vujasinovic and Curtis Bickers.
