Legends Sports Complex to offer youth basketball program
The Legends Sports Complex will hold a youth basketball program for boys and girls grades 2-12.
The program will combine basketball instruction with competitive team play. Instruction will take place on either Tuesday or Thursday, with games played from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Teams will play eight games in the season with playoffs to follow.
Coaches will divide players by age and skill levels into NIT, NCAA and NBA groups. The league will provide reversible jerseys to all players. The coaches will be selected from the Legends Sports Complex staff.
Player evaluations will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4 and Thursday, Sept. 6. Grades 2-5 will try out at 6 p.m. and grades 6-12 will try out at 7 p.m. All players will make a league team.
Registration costs $185 if completed before Aug. 20 and $200 after that date. An additional $24 Sport Program Fee is required from nonmembers.
The Legends Sports Complex is located at 602 Pruitt Road in Spring.
