Spring school district meals remain same price
Meal prices at all Spring Independent School District campuses will remain the same price from last school year.
Breakfast is free for all students on the Spring ISD campuses. For lunch, elementary students have several entrees to choose from plus a la carte drinks and snacks. At secondary schools, lunch includes eight or more entrees plus a la carte choices. Meal choices at all schools includes fresh fruits, reduced fat items, vegetables and whole grains.
Lunch prices for the upcoming school year remain unchanged and are $1.50 for an elementary meal and $1.75 for meals at middle schools and high schools. Specialty meals are also available at the middle and high schools for $3 or more.
Parents who would like to sign their child up for the district’s free meals program are encouraged to complete the application online for faster approval at the district’s website springisd.org/mealapps. Paper applications are available at each school and can be returned during new student registration. Eligibility is based on federally established income and household size guidelines. Parents should allow 10 days for the application to be processed to see if children are eligible.
