City of Seabrook encourages water conservation among residents

Seabrook officials are encouraging water consumers to reduce water usage by 10 percent to avoid the activation of Stage 1 Water Restrictions.

During the past several days, water usage has exceeded 2.55 MGD. If usage continues to exceed that number, water restrictions will go into effect according to the Water Conservation and Drought Contingency Plan.

Steps recommended to reduce water usage include cleaning driveways and sidewalks with a broom, replacing showerheads with water-efficient models and matching your laundry water level to the size of the load.

Fixing dripping faucets and running toilets can save 300 gallons a month of water or more.
