Thirty-six Spring runners complete Dad's Day 5K
Thirty-six runners from Spring completed the Dad's Day 5K on Saturday, June 16 in Houston.
The Spring runners who participated in this event are: Daniel Solis, 15, (17:11); Kevin Dearbonne, 34, (21:43); Bernard Borski, 55, (22:08); John Dickerson, 34, (22:34); Dan Perrin, 55, (23:06); Todd Fritz, 41, (23:39); Paul Blutt, 33, (23:52); Steven Oxley, 28, (23:55); Kyle Guidry, 47, (24:19); and Deborah Borski, 55, (25:05); Twenty-six other local runners also crossed the finish line.
A total of 860 runners finished the 5K race, which started and ended on Prairie under the Wortham Arch. The course is USATF-certified.
Maximo Mendoza, of Pearland was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:41, while Lauren Smith of Lake Jackson was the women's winner in 17:23.
