Klein alum homers in RockHounds victory
Jeremy Barfield, a 2006 graduate of Klein High School, homered but the Midland RockHounds fell 6-3 to the Frisco RoughRiders in Double-A Texas League action on Wednesday.
The second baseman went 1-3 with a homer and walk.
On the season, Barfield has hit .292 with eight home runs and 40 RBI.
Barfield was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the eighth round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft after playing his college ball at San Jacinto College North.
