Five runners from Spring complete Wounded Warrior 10K
Five runners from Spring completed the Wounded Warrior 10K on Sunday, June 10 in Las Colinas.
Megan Bruegger, 34, and Emily Holt, 26, were among the fastest Spring runners to finish. They completed the race in 59:36 and 1:12:28, respectively. Locals Katie Zimmerman, Megan Aadland, and Brian Zimmerman also crossed the finish line.
A total of 1,175 runners finished the 10K race, which started and ended around Williams Square. The beneficiaries of the event are Semper Fi Fund, and ReserveAid.
Garcia Richard of Fort Worth was the men's overall winner with a time of 37:59, while Tiffany Hauerwas of Rowlett was the women's winner in 44:13.
