Nine runners from Spring complete Wounded Warrior Half Marathon
Nine runners from Spring completed the Wounded Warrior Half Marathon on Sunday, June 10 in Las Colinas.
Robert Mason, 47, and Yesenia Roman-Mason, 39, were among the fastest Spring runners to finish. They completed the race in 1:52:57 and 1:56:31, respectively. Seven other local runners also crossed the finish line.
A total of 1,514 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which started and ended around Williams Square. The beneficiaries of the event are Semper Fi Fund, and ReserveAid.
Noel Fernandez of Irving was the men's overall winner with a time of 1:17:28, while Tara Upshaw of Southlake was the women's winner in 1:24:27.
