Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce honors its own

The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce announced six of its members as graduates from the Leadership North Houston program.

Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce members in the Leadership North Houston 2011-2012 graduating class included Karen Cavallaro, senior consultant, Lone Star College System Small Business Development Center; Katie Conway, vice president and branch manager, Trustmark Bank; Kathy Haas, owner/professional photographer, d&k Photography; Ed Shackelford, vice president and The Woodlands operations manager, Jones & Carter Inc.; Dawn Stone GTACC member and community relations; and Kelly Violette, director, Tomball Economic Development Corporation.

The graduates were honored at the 17th annual graduation celebration and awards dinner held May 17 at Shirley Acres.

The Leadership North Houston program is offered through a partnership among several area chambers of commerce and the Lone Star College System. Since 1995, the program has offered students a chance to develop and strengthen their leadership skills while learning how to make a positive impact within the community.
