Spring High announces top two students

Spring High School has named Kaitlin Burke and Justin Comer this year's valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.

Burke, 18, will attend St. Edward’s University in Austin. She hopes to become a professional actress. Burke won the Texas State University President's scholarship, totaling $32,000; the State Farm Texas Scholar Award, $1,000; the St. Edward's President's Excellence scholarship, $60,000; and the St. Edward's Theater scholarship, $2,500.

Comer, 18, who attended both Spring High School and Carl Wunsche Senior High School, will attend Baylor University, where he hopes to pursue a career in medicine. Comer won the President’s Gold Scholarship, totaling $56,000, and a need–based Baylor scholarship, $23,000.
