Suit centers on alleged slip-and-fall at Spring apartments

A woman is suing after, she says, unsafe conditions at a Spring apartment complex caused her to fall while she held her child.

Sylvia Carrizales, individually and on behalf of her minor child, filed a lawsuit on Thursday, May 3 in the Harris County District Court against Lakebridge Houston, Lakebridge Homeowners Association, and Mercantile Capital, citing negligence.

Carrizales says on May 17, 2010, she tripped and fell over a piece of metal while carrying her child down the stairs of Lakebridge Apartments, located at 300 Woerner Road in Spring. Apartment managers should have kept the stairwell clear, according to the brief.

Carrizales is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Roy Camberg.
