Home health care agency sued after Spring patient's death
A daughter is suing a home health care company after her mother allegedly died from a morphine overdose.
Anastasia Robson, on behalf of the deceased Spring resident Mary Doltroff, filed a lawsuit March 12 in the Harris County District Court against VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, citing negligence.
Robson says on July 11, 2011, her mother, Doltroff, died as the result of a toxic overdose of morphine. According to the brief, a nurse employed with VITAS admittedly gave Doltroff an incorrect dose of the drug.
Robson is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Michael Norman.
