Spring church sued over basketball game injury
A San Antonio man is suing a Spring-area church after, he says, his son was injured during a basketball tournament.
Keith Howard, individually and on behalf of his minor child, filed a lawsuit on Dec. 1 in Harris County District Court against Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Spring, citing negligence.
Howard says on Dec. 11, 2009, his son sustained injuries while participating in a basketball tournament in Trinity Evangelical’s gym. According to the brief, he crashed into a concrete wall behind a basket.
The suit alleges the wall, as it was so close to the basketball court, should have been padded.
Howard is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by San Antonio attorney James McDonough.
