HS Football: Spring falls to Morton Ranch

Morton Ranch defeated Spring in high school football action Friday night.

The Mavericks, 1-1, won the game 26-23 in Rhodes Stadium.   Running back E.J. Achelus carried the ball 37 times for 240 yards and two scores in the victory.   Up next, Morton Ranch will host Memorial on Saturday, September 24th.   Friday’s loss dropped Spring to 1-2 on the season.   Quarterback Darius Campbell-Lee passed for 200 yards and two scores while rushing for 24 yards in the loss.   The Lions will host Dekaney on Friday, September 23 at 7 p.m.
