Mother sues Spring company over sons death
A Texas resident is suing a Spring-area company, claiming its careless acts caused the death of her son.
Patsy Harrison filed a lawsuit on Sept. 1 in the Harris County District Court against Patterson-UIT Drilling Co., of Spring, and Julio Gomez, citing negligence.
Harrison says that on Dec. 8, 2010, a kingpin, or vertical bolt, flew from the back of a Patterson-UIT truck travelling east on State Highway 72 in Karnes County and struck her son, Bobby Arriola.
Arriola sustained brain damage, and eventually died, as a result of the accident, according to the brief.
Harrison is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney John Stevenson, Jr.
