Mailman accused of stealing bicycle in Spring

Harris County Deputies arrested a mail carrier Thursday who allegedly stole
a bike in the Champion Forest area, Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reports.
 

Douglas Sherrard Jr., who works at the Klein branch of the U.S. Post Office
in Spring, is accused of stealing the bike last Thursday as he delivered
mail in Champion Forest, authorities said.

A resident saw a guy in a postal truck take a bicycle out of the front yard
of a neighbor and called our department, said Constable Precinct 4
Assistant Chief Mark Herman.  The deputies were able to arrest him one
block over.
