Spring resident sues over trip on a lip
A Spring resident is suing after, he says, a protruded concrete lip caused him to trip and fall down the stairs of a Houston-area office building.
Spring resident Joe Martin filed a lawsuit on Jan. 31 in the Harris County District Court against Pacific Ventures Inc. and Hillcroft Ventures Group, alleging negligence.
Martin says that on Jan. 29, 2009, he was seriously injured while visiting an office building, located at 6440 Hillcroft St., owned by the defendants. According to the brief, Martin, upon exiting the building, tripped on a lip of protruding concrete, causing him to fall down stairs onto the pavement.
Martin is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Mark Salvato.
