HS girls basketball: Klein Collins defeats Spring
Klein Collins overpowered Spring 48-41 in District 13-5A high school girls basketball action on Friday.
Spring took the early lead and was ahead by 7 entering the fourth quarter, but Klein Collins outscored its opponent 25-11 in the final frame for the victory.
Klein Collins is now 16-10 on the season and 5-2 in district play.
Tia Russell scored 11 points in the victory.
Klein Collins will next host Spring DeKaney on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
With the loss, Spring falls to 13-12 and 1-6 in district play.
Senior Kahdija Davis scored 12 points for the losing team.
Spring will next host Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
