HS boys basketball: Klein Oak edged by Cy Woods

The Cy Woods Wildcats (1-2) defeated the Klein Oak Panthers (1-4) 44-42 Wednesday during the annual boys basketball Border Battle at Spring High School.

The Border Battle features eight consecutive games pitting District 13-5A (Spring and Klein ISD schools) against District 17-5A (Cy-Fair ISD).

Cy Woods led 34-24 at half and held on to the win despite being outscored 18-10 by Klein Oak during the second half.

6’3” Wildcats junior forward Cody Thomas led all players in scoring with 15 points.

Cameron Coleman led Klein Oak in scoring with 14 points.

Klein Oak’s Ellis Moore and Brandon Harris contributed 12 points and 10 points during the losing effort.
