Spring Valley Village Council to vote on CenterPoint rate ordinance
This Tuesday, the Spring Valley Village Council will vote on whether to approve an ordinance that states CenterPoint Energy Houston Electrics unreasonably high rates should be reduced.
The ordinance will also demand that CenterPoint lower its current rates within the city and follow the pricing guidelines set by the Gulf Coast Coalition of Cities. If approved, this ordinance will allow the Gulf Coast Coalition of Cities to represent the city in any judicial or administrative hearings stemming from this action, according to the agenda.
Consent agenda items to be discussed on Tuesday include the following:
The purchase of seven laptop computers costing $15,047.55 and one Crown Victoria costing $25,277 for the villages police department.
A cooperation agreement between the City of Spring Valley Village and the city of Hilshire Village, providing police and Municipal Court services for Fiscal Year 2010/2011, costing $319,821.55.
Approval for the City Parking Lot Repaving Project costing $82,201.37.
The meeting will be held in City Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 26, starting at 6:30 p.m.
