13-5A meet: Area harriers in race
Klein, Klein Oak, Klein Forest and Spring are among the favorites in the boys and girls divisions at this week's District 13-5A Cross Country Meet.
The Klein Oak boys tallied a perfect 15 points at district last year after taking the top five individual spots, and went on to finish second at state, but the Panthers lost five of their seven runners to graduation, and the race is expected to be much closer this time around.
The Klein Oak boys have won six straight district titles, and the Klein girls have taken three in a row.
