Volleyball: Klein Oak continues district undefeated streak
Mighty Klein Oak defeated Spring in District 13-5A volleyball action on Tuesday
The Panthers beat the Lions in three games, 25-14, 25-12, and 25-6. Klein Oak is now 32-2 and 10-0 in district match ups.
Bridget Benditz, a 6' senior, led the team with 15 kills in the match. Six different Klein Oak players have at least 50 kills on the season.
Benditz sparks the Panthers with an amazing 522 kills on the season, while Hallie McDonald has 334 kills and a 3.44 kill per game average.
The Panthers will try to keep their undefeated district hopes alive when they take on the Golden Eagles of Klein Forest on Friday.
The match is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Spring fell to 7-16 and 3-7 on the season with the loss.
The Lions were led by senior Lauren Thompson, who had six kills in the match. Junior Sydney Alexander leads Spring in kills with 58 on the year, while senior Ali Plyler leads the squad with 31 assists.
The Spring Westfield Mustangs will travel to battle Spring Friday at 6:30.
